Rocket League is available on PC through Steam, PS4 and Xbox One while ports for OS X and Linux are set to be released in 2016. A game controller can be used with PC; Playstation and Xbox controllers are compatible. See Controls for details.
Playing Across Platforms
When queuing online,PC players can be matched with other players across both PS4 and Xbox One platforms while the two consoles can't be matched up together yet.Microsoft,Sony and Psyonix are currently at talks to enable full Ps4-Xbox-PC\Steam Cross Platform Matchmaking.Playstation users see PC players with the 'PSYNET' icon on the scoreboard and vice versa and Xbox One users see Steam users with the Rocket League shield icon on the in-game scoreboard while the PC players see Xbox One users with the 'PSYNET' icon just as they see PS4 players.
It is currently not possible to create a mixed platform party [5/4/16]. As such, you cannot use the Find Match launcher to queue with friends across platforms against other random players, which requires being able to form a party. Therefore, currently the only way to queue with friends between PS4 and PC and PC-Xbox is to create a Private Match with a name and password that your friends on the other platform (PS4,Xbox or PC) can enter to join the match. Private Matches will include AI cars unless the game is filled with invited players.
The in game voice chat feature also lacks cross platform input/output and only allows communication between players on the same platform. The shortcut chat commands are, however, cross platform unlike the typed and voice chat.
